I was worried about compatibility, but this lens converter threaded onto my camcorder's filter ring without any adapters needed. The extra reach is exactly what I needed for filming wildlife from a distance.

Screwing this onto my camcorder's front thread took about ten seconds, and the reach it adds to my existing lens is honestly surprising for something so compact. The build feels solid, too—no wobble or vignetting that I can notice when filming birds from my porch.

I was skeptical about mounting a converter on my kit lens, but it threads on smoothly and instantly gives me real reach for wildlife shots without buying a whole new lens.
